Opening Reception for: "El Movimiento En Los Angeles: The Origins & Legacy"

Who: The Commemoration Committee of the Chicano Moratoriums along with the Mexican Cultural Institute of Los Angeles

What: 2nd annual Chicano History exhibit

At Olvera Street's Mexican Cultural Institute's gallery in Downtown L.A.

Our opening reception will be on Saturday, August 13 from 6:30pm to 9 pm. It will be Free! We will have entertainment, food and refreshments!

"El Movimiento En Los Angeles: The Origins & Legacy." This year, we deal with three major movements.

The 1968 Walkouts, the Chicano Moratoriums of the '60s and '70s, and the Immigration Movement ,which was one of the Major Movements following the Chicano Moratoriums.

The exhibit runs through Sunday, September 11. Galería MCI is open from noon to 6 pm, Thursdays through Sundays.
