Enjoy a rare chance to learn about and hear the rich cultural sounds of bomba and son jarocho, two types of music that combine their African, Spanish and traditional roots into a lively and unique sound. The event includes a group discussion on music and its role in local communities, live performances by both Bomba and Son Jarocho groups, and open workshops on song, dance, and percussion.
The event culminates with the collaborative efforts of these two unique styles of music- the Bombaso Fandango- a musical expression of community and culture.
