Danelle Rivas, a painter whose work has been described as "a vision of introspective interpretation of reality filled with color and magic," will open her first solo exhibition, titled "Dreamland," on April 8, 2017 from 4PM to 9PM at the Latino Art Museum, located at 281 S. Thomas Street, Suite 104/106, Pomona, CA 91766.

Under the stewardship of museum director Graciela Nardi, Riva will exhibit 21 pieces representing her Dreamland Collection. "Dreamland is the mysterious world beyond unlocking my reality to reveal an imagination through which I connect spirituality," declared Rivas. "All who enter are granted permission to explore." Rivas' paintings inspire audiences to reflect on their own lives. Indeed, elements in her paintings reflect elements of her history and truth.

Influenced by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, with judos to Balthus, Walton Ford, Van Gogh, Henri Rousseau, Botero and Vermeer, Rivas credit them for shaping her own unique perspective.
