A monthly (bilingual) resource of workshops dedicated to providing access to the knowledge and tools OUR community members need, to empower us to make changes in our neighborhoods, on OUR terms. This year, like every year, is a time to #learn #build #resist & create stronger communities, together.

5/20 Popular Education
6/17 Civic Engagement 101
7/15 Alcohol Licenses
8/19 Housing
9/16 TBD

Please join us for the first workshop on May 20, 2017 at 10:00 am

POPULAR EDUCATION focuses on seeing all people, regardless of education or wealth, as essential to the movement towards liberation. Inspired by Paulo Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed, this workshop will provide the tools for people to learn from one another and reflect on the issues impacting Highland Park. Through collective reflection, we can take collective action to build a more equitable community.
