Join us as we celebrate the life of Frida Kahlo – one of the most important 20th century artists of the Americas – with a discussion of her life and work by artist and teacher Miriam Quezada. Behind the self-portraits of Frida Kahlo lie the many faces of this extraordinary artist, who painted her pain, solitude, political activism, and Mexican origins, ultimately reflecting her commitment to art and social justice.

Light refreshments served courtesy of Los Amigos of the East Los Angeles Library.
