The Los Angeles Latino musical and entertainment communities are joining forces in presenting LA Música Helps/#LAMÚSICAHELPS, an eight-hour concert to raise funds for disaster relief organizations serving Mexico and the Caribbean.
The concert, hosted by LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, will feature performances by eleven local bands and appearances by local celebrities. The concert will be streamed via Facebook Live @LAPlazaLA. 100% of all contributions will be donated to emergency relief organizations.
Tickets can be purchased via Tickeri at $20 or at the door, fully tax deductible donations can also be made on this site. Kids under age 8 and seniors over 65 are free until 2 p.m.
Performers cover a broad spectrum of Latino genres, from Jarocho to salsa and traditional, with Queztal, Rumbankete, San Miguel, Cambalache, La Verdad, Nancy Sanchez, Chacombo, Samba Society, Cunyà, Son del Centro, and Filarmónica Maqueos Music, among other special guests.
Food, beverage, and craft vendors will be available for purchase with all proceeds being donated to the relief fund. Limited seating available on a first come first serve basis.
