To keep things good, clean and fun for everyone, we review all submissions prior to posting them on the website for public view. We also respond to every complaint we receive about our website’s content. In both cases we determine whether the submissions comply with our Terms of Service. We don’t automatically remove content that has prompted someone to complain to us. We only remove content purposefully and deliberately.

So, mijos y mijas, it's quite easy to keep it good, clean and fun for everyone.

Help ensure your submissions get published by following the five common-sense rules below. Our Terms of Service set forth the legalese on copyrights, ownership and other important matters related to your use of ¡LatinoLA! and submissions of content.

Rule #1. Don't abuse the website. Everyone gets excited about their stuff, which sometimes gets them a bit carried away. Go easy on your temper, use of capital letters, and language. Submitting content to ¡LatinoLA! involves a certain level of trust. We trust you to be responsible, and millions of users respect that trust, so please be one of them.

#2. We cherish free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we have zero tolerance for attacking or demeaning individuals or groups on the basis of their ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc., etc. We also forbid nasty behaviors like being predatory, stalking, threatening, harassing, invading privacy, deceiving, revealing personal information, participating in criminal activities, etc., etc.. You get the picture, right? And, by the way, we work very closely and vigorously with law enforcement agencies regarding suspected or known criminal activities.

#3. ¡LatinoLA! is not for pornography, sexually explicit content, graphic or gratuitous violence, or crass vulgarity. If this describes your content, please don't submit it.

#4. Respect copyrights. Only submit content that you own or that you are authorized to use. That is, don't include in your submissions content such as text, music, photos, graphics or videos that is owned by others. This said, you can use copyrighted materials that meets the "fair use" doctrine. It takes some reading but gives you a lot of creative options.

#5. Thou shall not mislead or spam. Don't use misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails that are meant to trick people into looking at your submissions. And don't post excessive amounts of untargeted or repetitive content, comments or messages.

Please take these rules seriously and take them to heart. Don't argue whether or not they're legal, because they are; just respect the spirit in which they were created. Break the rules, which are incorporated into our Terms of Service, and you'll get warnings or termination of your account. If your account is terminated you are prohibited from creating new accounts.
