She is no stranger to the music scene. Peruvian singer/actress, with the pretty blue stylish hair and light hazel eyes, Diana Mera is a sensational International Spanish pop music artist, celebrating her 10th year as a singer/songwriter.
In 2010, Diana was set back with a serious illness that questioned the future of her career. With perseverance and faith she overcame the illness and is in full swing, gearing up for her album release of Luz Azul (Blue Light) on May 1st, 2012 accompanied by the release of her music video "Solemos".
Latin pop artist Diana Mera is the new sound of Rock en Espa??ol and known for her epic appearances on Latino Television shows such as Univision's Despierta America and Telemundo's De Ma??anita performing her first songs, Mi Vida sin Un Sue??o (My life without a Dream) and Melancolia (Meloncholy).
Her unique velvety voice emerged into the Spanish pop genre becoming the new buzz of Rock en Espa??ol. Soon thereafter, she was asked to perform on popular International Latino TV shows - El Gordo y La Flaca, America Live, Univisi??n Radio, Caracol and Cadena Azul . Her music videos also captured the attention of a wide audience and were on popular video shows such as VHUNO, MTV en Espa??ol and other major Spanish Music TV shows.
Diana has managed after a long journey of trials and tribulations to create an album that transpires love and pain. Luz Azul is a compilation of 11 songs thats she gathered from her past unreleased album Luz Verde(Green Light),which was produced by Gustavo Borner (three time Latin Grammy award winner and producer of Ricky Martin MTV Unplugged and LIVE Alejandro Fernandez) and Tomas Dany (composer Cristian Castro and Martha Sanchez, etc). She also added new songs that tell stories of miracles.
Luz Azul is an album that fortells a story of change, revivial, destiny, awakening and surviving. One of the songs on this album titled "Survivor" talk about Diana's personal survival. "It is a reminder of my achievements, is a debt to life because I've been lucky to survive," states Diana.
Luz Azul also features a the dynamic Latina pop artist M'dela, who also composed five of the songs on this album. These two starlets hit it off after sharing the stage at one of Diana's concerts where they discovered their synchronicity and love for Spanish Pop. This lead them to the creation of a weekly entertainment web show called "Una Noche y Media" where Diana and M'dela co-host and sing songs together.
Even though the album has not been released publicly, Luz Azul was mentioned as 'one of the best albums in Spanish' of 2011 by the Hoy Dallas Newspaper who received an advance copy. This album comes straight from the heart and Diana is grateful to have the opportunity to share it and to be able to perform once again. She looks forward to captivating her audiences with her inspiring lyrics.
