Dolores Huerta was among the 13 people honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in Washington D.C.

The Pew Hispanic Center recently published a new report, "When Labels Don't Fit: Hispanics and their Views of Identity". The survey found that most Hispanics don't embrace the term "Hispanic" and even fewer prefer the term "Latino".

Arts and Entertainment

Chilean director Pablo Larrian's "No" took home the Art Cinema Award at the Directors Fortnight in Cannes. Mexican director Carlos Reygadas took home the Cannes award for Best Director for his film "Post Tenebras Lux".
