"It's an honor to be a part of this program," says Villafa??a. "As a new father, I am always thinking about what's best for my child and it's great to know that companies like Fresh & Easy are here to help our kids get a great education while also encouraging them to be active through sports and other extracurricular activities."

Throughout September, just in time for back-to-school, Villafa??a will be hosting soccer clinics with students at various schools, signing autographs and talking about the benefits of participating in Shop for Schools with administrators, teachers and parents.

Participating schools receive a $1 cash donation for every $20 receipt collected from any Fresh & Easy store from September 12 through December 31, 2012. The schools that raise the most money in Arizona and Nevada, and the two top-fundraising schools in California will each win a $5,000 bonus.
