Duncan Bridgeman's documentary "Hecho en Mexico" hits U.S. theaters on November 30th. Juanes and Juan Luis Guerra will perform at a benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Sandy. 100% of the proceeds from the November 24th concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be donated to the American Red Cross.
VIcky and Marisol Terrazas, lead singers of Los Horoscopos de Durango, were arrested during a show in Florida this week. A fight had broken out in the audience and when security and local sheriff's deputies moved in to break it up, the women stopped singing and began cursing at the officers.

Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas and the Pan American Health and Education Foundation premiered the new docu-series "Empuje" last week, airing Sunday Mornings at 11 AM. The series follows three young Latinos on their struggle to improve their health and wellness together with Latino athlete mentors including FC Barcelona player Gerard Pique, Olympic Gold Medalist Henry Cejudo and celebrity personal trainer Ary Nuñez.
Jose Cuervo Tradicional unveiled 10 murals for its "Tradicional Mural Project 2012". The murals will be showcased on Facebook starting in January for public voting. The winning muralist will received a $15,000 grant and $15,000 donation to their local community. www.facebook.com/losamigosdejose.
Ten new Latinos were elected to US Congress last week with nine joining the House and 1 in the Senate. The total number of Latinos in the next Congress will be 31, plus Puerto Rico (Resident Commissioner).
According to census data, the number of Latinos in Iowa grew 82% between 2000 and 2010 and now represents 5% of the state's population. The Hispanic population also grew 82% in Indiana, 77% in Nebraska and 74.5% in Minnesota during the last decade.
According to new data analysis by the Pew Hispanic Center, Latinos voted for President Barack Obama over his opponent Mitt Romney 71% to 27%.
Hispanics made up 17% of the electorate in Florida, up from 14% in 2008. In Colorado, Hispanics made up 14% of voters, up from 13% in 2008 and in Nevada, Hispanics made up 18% of voters, up from 15% in 2008.

Mexican prosecutors charged 14 federal police officers with the attempted murder of two CIA agents and a Mexican navy captain during an ambush in August. The incident in which officers opened fire on a U.S. Embassy vehicle took place just south of Mexico City.
