The Roots and Wings Project is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Sound Board Operator and Sound Designer for the upcoming production of Tree of Fire. There is some pay.
Tree of Fire gives voice to three female inmates in an aged an ominous women's correctional facility whose lives are threatened when a Magnolia Tree catches on fire. They are jolted into memories of their past that inform the truth of their souls, sparking an urgent need to expose the inhumanity of the prison to the world. Tree of Fire gives voice to those who are silenced by our nation's Prison Industrial Complex.

Tree of Fire, written by Jesse Bliss, opens March 8 (International Women's Day) 2013 at the Inner-City Arts' The Rosenthal Theater in DTLA. This play has a rich, four-year history of staged readings and excerpt performances at Lincoln Heights Jail, S.P.A.R.C. at the Old Jail in Venice, and Theatre of Note.
The Roots and Wings Project is a politically charged, socially transformative theatre company dedicated to giving voice to the unnamed, unspoken and misunderstood through theatrical innovation and multi-media collaboration.
