Conga Room Hosts Latin Kings of Salsa Series

The world-famous Conga Room located at LA LIVE announced a year-end lineup with Latin music's most famous tropical musical acts for a Thursday-night Latin music series. Dubbed "Latin Kings of Salsa," the line-up featured musical appearances by the genre's hottest and most iconic talent including El Gran Combo and Oscar D'Leon (pictured), among others, ending on October 23 with the legendary Willie Col??n! The series is a treat for Southern California Latin music fans who can see and experience their favorite artists performing right in the heart of Los Angeles.

"The Conga Room is a quintessential location in Los Angeles, as well as an international landmark in the world of Latin music," said Conga Room Founder Brad Gluckstein. "It is very unique for fans from Southern California to enjoy a month-long parade of iconic artists, who span five decades, in such an intimate setting".

The Conga Room will produce content each night ultimately creating a documentary highlighting the history of this legendary venue and its long time contribution to the Los Angeles Latin music scene. Venue footage from the original club days of Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and Buena Vista All Stars will be included. The Latin Kings of Salsa's artist lineup is just as relevant and extraordinary today. While all the Latin Kings of Salsa hail from different backgrounds (Luis Enrique from Nicaragua, Oscar D' Leon from Venezuela and Willie Colon from New York), they all share a broad fan base and Latin swing that will keep dancers on the floor, and customers full of energy, all night long.

The iconic Conga Room is taking over the DTLA social scene, combining the club's award winning architecture and hip club ambiance with Salsa's spiciest singers, dancers and musicians, with Willie Colon on Thursday October 23rd. Tickets for each of these performances are available for purchase at https://tickets.congaroom.com/.

With beginnings on Wilshire Blvd. in 1998, the Conga Room opened during a pivotal moment for the popularity of Latin music in the U.S. With legends such as Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and Buena Vista Social Club gracing the stage, there was no place like it. Original founding partners include Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Smits, Sheila E. and comedian Paul Rodriguez.

With the partnership of A-list celebrities such as Will.i.am, basketball players Barron Davis and Trevor Ariza, and rat packer Amaury Nolasco, the Conga Room re-launched at LA Live in 2008, and has since hosted thousands of events and concerts. The Conga Room has become a destination not only for the Latin community, but for general market nightlife and signature events.

Artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake, Avicii, Prince, Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar and Stevie Wonder have graced the stage to name a few. In the Latin genre, the list consists of Ricardo Arjona, Alejandro Fernandez, Alejandra Guzman, Gypsy Kings, and of course a steady diet of Salsa superstars including El Gran Combo, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Oscar D'Leon.

The Conga Room has hosted after parties for the ESPY's, AMA's, People's Choice Awards, Emmy's, Video Music Awards, and an annual GRAMMY Social Media Summit.
