'Tis the Season to Step Out and Live

The Holidays season is here, 2014 is coming to an end, and it's the Season for giving!

..first of all, I think it's appropriate to GIVE A DAMN !

Doesn't cost a dime, it is inspiring to others, and it helps weaker minded people see past the commercialism that Christmas has become.

I give a damn that there are American men & women OF ALL COLORS wearing a U.S. Military uniform and serving our flag in hostile zones in foreign lands, while some people of questionable mentality & moral fiber find it appropriate to pervert a basic freedom these brave men and women protect with their very lives by rioting, burning down their neighborhoods, and looting.

WTF??? Your message is lost on the ignorant, and is misconstrued by the responsible. A few are screwing up the works for the lot of us!

I've been around for the riots in Los Angeles in 1965, 1970, 1992, and the embarrassing display of public stupidity after the L.A. Lakers and L.A. Kings won national championships in the past few years, and now this current wave of public shit & disturbance masked as "Right of free speech and right to assemble & protest."
...seems only a few are doing it right.

The result from the previous riots was the huge loss of public funds to "rebuild," that could have been used for improving what was already in place, a few symbolic crumbs given by politicians to a selected few, and it added an increased and undeserved sense of mistrust towards all Latinos & Blacks.

...besides the loss of business, and people's peace disturbed during Holiday season, what will these current demonstrations bring?

There is NO RIGHT to riot, pillage, steal, and destroy!

There is NO RIGHT to teach young American people that it's acceptable to put other people in danger while they rob, steal, disrupt the public peace, pervert religion, and basically lower themselves to the ignorant behavior we so loathe in the countries we send our young guys & gals to fight in, in the name of "freedom."

Let's ALL start giving a damn!

Along with making increased efforts to communicate more regularly with our elected officials...let's also talk more WITH EACH OTHER and our children on a more responsible & intelligent manner, other than "Burn this mutha down!" and manipulating the truth to meet low level agendas to steal & pillage.

We almost resemble the de facto "dark side" of American politics in action...sans the trillions in tax money wasted, of course !

Ok...I'm done! Let's get on with the music & entertainment!

... I can see El Editor & his staff shaking their heads & raising eyebrows, so that will be my last political rant of 2014.

Judging by recent past successful music shows, comedy shows, and theater presentations...along with some amusing TV news Christmas shopping chingasos on Black Friday...it seems that our economy is almost back on track, regardless what some of the closet racists and the Republicans say about our President...people have a little money to spend.
