HPRA created the HPRA-Los Angeles (HPRA-LA) Scholarship Program to assist students of Hispanic descent in California achieve their education goals. The HPRA-LA Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding academic achievement and community service among undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a career in public relations and related communications fields. This year, the HPRA-LA Scholarship Program will award four (4) undergraduate and two (2) graduate student scholarships each in the amount of $2,000.
Each recipient is automatically considered for the Esther Renteria Community Service Scholarship, also awarded by HPRA-LA, in the amount of $1,000 based on contributions to the community. Recipients will also have the opportunity to interview for internships at leading agencies and corporate organizations a part of the HPRA network, as well as a free (1) year student membership to HPRA-LA.
Be accepted to attend a four-year accredited California college or university by Fall 2015 semester or be enrolled for the 2015-2016 school year.

‘«ů Be an incoming college sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate student of at least 25 percent Hispanic descent.
‘«ů Graduate students must also have at least 25 percent Hispanic descent.
‘«ů Have a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA and 3.0 GPA in their major subject.
‘«ů A desire to work in public relations/communications industries.
‘«ů Major in public relations, communications, journalism, advertising, and/or marketing.
‘«ů Be available to attend the HPRA PRemio Awards dinner in October 2015 in Los Angeles.
To be considered for the Esther Renteria Community Service Scholarship, applicants must meet the same criteria as outlined above.
