Less than 30 days till Christmas, then the end of 2015....what a ride, huh?
So many things have happened over the course of the year, some good, some bad.
Probably one of the worst that happened right here in the Land of 1000 Dances, Califas de Aztlan was the mass murder in San Bernardino, California just a few days ago...
While our hearts go out to all the families of victims, and our profound sense of gratitude goes out to the brave police & first responders, I believe it incumbent upon all of us in public journalism & entertainment, and our mature & responsible readers, to work together in preventing mass hysteria & racial profiling and help maintain the peace needed at this time, in our present World & generation.
I mean ... just as Donald Trump & his supporters are wrong to label & stereotype all Mexicans as rapists, drug dealers, carriers of diseases, and criminals, we in return should ALL be careful NOT to label all Blacks as gang members, rap singers, hookers, and Basketball players who can't find a job; all White people as mentally disturbed racist NRA rednecks who shoot up theaters, churches, schools, and blow up federal buildings; all Asians as sneaky, clannish computer nerds who can't drive: .... and lastly, we should avoid labeling all Middle Easterners as Muslim terrorists worthy of acts of revenge ... and avoid continuing to foster & support the hatred of present day religious & political zealots that have presently upset our world balance, and keeps us at the brink of war ... these are the sad facts & stereotypes of our times...
Any realistic study of World history dating back to biblical times & before will reveal that all wars and genocides were conceived and carried out under religious & political agendas that has caused the suffering & deaths of MILLIONS of people ... and we need to get our collective shit together as modern day World citizens, reassess our current leadership's usefulness & roles, and prevent our own demise by another World War...
I'll leave it at that....
?íOrale! On with the music News, watcha:
Ever since the Summer, which has been one of the hottest on the West Coast in many years, the music has flowed, the Gente have danced & celebrated life, life has never been better, and it hasn't cooled down yet!
Internet Radio & Television, as well as satellite radio, has proven to be a spark to popular classic artists & music that has somehow fallen off the radar in Los Angeles, and contrary to what one deluded so called Rap "artist" proclaimed recently, Rap & Hip-Hop IS NOT the new rock & roll of the people....wonder how many people he knows?
Established West Coast based World wide Internet programs like East L.A. Revue Radio, Chicano Express Radio, KUCR FM, and Thee Mr. Duran Radio & Television shows, along with many new comers, continue playing & promoting the music & entertainment tastes of the"Big Kids" of Aztlan, across the Country, around the World, and now boast growing audiences with continuing live concerts drawing bigger crowds.
So many fine music shows & celebrations are planned, and that's just what the good Gente de Aztlan need to help us forget for a moment the bad news, the goofy shopping wars, too much food & weight gain...and the void in all of our hearts for our brave U.S. troops currently serving around the World who won't be home for the Holidays this year....
THANK YOU, GUYS & GALS in uniform!!
