Kika Rocha, beauty expert and part of the Colgate Optic White Designer Smile Squad, shares some tips on skin care so you don't suffer the negative consequences of the summer.
Moisturizes the skin as much as possible during this season, using light creams and masks. I love masks made from natural ingredients. One of my favorites is soy-based. This protein is a skin restorer and its regular and continuous use softens and moisturizes the skin.
Even if this seems illogical you don't know how many women I've met who do not use sunscreen in the summer. Now more than ever you need an increased sun protection factor. My recommendation, choose it according to your skin type and use at least 25 SPF daily. If you go to the water try to apply it every two hours.
Use a natural balm that contains sunscreen to prevent from sunburn and at the same time keep them moisturized. The cocoa butter is super effective! To give your smile an extra sparkle I use my favorite toothpaste Colgate Optic White High Impact White.
Eat lots of fruits, vegetables and foods rich in vitamins A, C and E. I recommend daily consumption of citrus fruits like oranges, kiwi and melon. And do not forget guava, this fruits has six times more vitamin C than a common orange. And of course , drink plenty of water .
Be careful with the perfumes!
Many perfumes are made from alcohol and the combination of this component with the sun is not favorable because it can damage your skin. My recommendation is to use light perfumes without alcohol.
