Composed of lead singer Leire Martinez, guitarist Pablo Benegas, pianist and arranger Xabi San Martín, drummer Haritz Garde and bassist Álvaro Fuentes, the group has achieved Gold and Platinum record status and received multiple Latin Grammys, European MTV Awards, Premios Ondas (Spain), 40pp Awards (Spain) and the Gaviota de Plata (Latin America), as well as many other international recognitions.
And, along the way, this versatile group – in style and substance – has performed more than 600 concerts, including stadiums, auditoriums, sports halls, theaters, clubs, palaces, even on the sea!
Along with countless tours in Spain, LOVG has played for sold-out audiences in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, England, France, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Romania, Switzerland, Uruguay, Venezuela and the United States.
Their most recent album, "Primera Fila", topped international charts with record-setting sales in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Recorded live in Mexico City, LOVG collaborated with Latin American stars like Abel Pintos, Leonel Garcia, Samo Ex Camila and Natalia Lafourcade to create new versions of LOVG's greatest hits.
The record also included newly-penned songs that topped the radio charts, including, "Mi vida sin ti," "Una y Otra Vez" "María", and "Cuando dices Adiós". The tour in support of the record sold out concerts across Latin America, including the National Auditorium in Mexico City and three consecutive sold-out nights at the Rex Theater in Buenos Aires (Argentina's largest theater).
LOVG's worldwide appeal comes from the songs that pair varied pop and rock styles with lyrics that range from intimate to mysterious. However, they are not a mystery to their fans – through social media and open sharing of their humor, loves and lives,
LOVG connects with over 5-million fans worldwide and has created a deep and loyal bond with them. Indeed, fan clubs that started with LOVG's early success (often named "Goonies" in reference to the title of the band's second studio album El Viaje de Copperpot) have grown with the band and now thrive in virtually every Spanish-language country, plus the United States.
Recently, the band finished recording their 7th studio album and is planning an international tour of both Europe and the Americas in 2017.
