The Celebrity Red Carpet media event will start at 3:45PM. Featured invited guest include Danny Treo, Johnny Ortiz, Earnest Thomas, T.C. Stallings, Hector Echavarria, Oscar Del Hoya, Bishop TD Jakes, DeVon Franklin, David A.R. White and much more!
CTFL is the first of its kind as a Latino Faith-Crossover film that tells a "true-to-life" story set in a world that is universal and appealing to the Latino, Faith and Mainstream audiences alike. In order to tell a meaningful story of loss and salvation that does not alienate the viewing audience, the filmmakers carefully approached the faith-based story elements with a high concept, high quality mainstream storytelling style that is lost in most of today's typical "FAITH" or "Christian" films.
CTFL features an all LATINO CAST of strong veteran actors such as David Barrera (CSI, The Shield), Steven Wilcox (Empire, Law & Order, American Me) and Mauricio Mendoza (Reno 911, Heroes). As well as strong up-and-coming talent such as Rene Alvarado (Hulu's East Los High, Starz' Power) Jessica Camacho (Fox's Sleepy Hollow, Harley and the Davidsons), and Jearnest Corchado (True Crime with Aphrodite Jones, ABC's The Fosters).
CTFL has been officially endorsed as a film of "faith and inspiration" by the Victory Outreach International and The Salvation Army. Both global organizations will be hosting screenings and officially be supporting the film on its release.
CTFL is set for a limited theatrical release in April 2017 and will also be available on-demand worldwide shortly thereafter.
THE FILM FESTIVALS LOVE CTFL:
CTFL has been on the festival circuit only 3 months and it has been accepted widely and wholeheartedly as a true-to-life Faith film with edge and truth. Recent wins include:
• Best Picture and Best Actress at the Monaco International Film Festival.
• Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Ensemble Cast, and Audience Choice Award – South Texas International Film Festival.
• Nominated for Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress – Kingdomwood Festival
• Selected as opening night film at the International Boston Latino Film Festival
Many more festivals are pending but if the recent is any indication CTFL is in store for a great festival run.

Our programming reflects downtown L.A.'s vibrant new urbanism, the unique ethnic and cultural diversity of its neighborhoods, its burgeoning independent film community, its singular blend of late 19th and 20th century architecture, and the seminal role it played in the early days of American cinema (epitomized by the world's largest group of vintage movie palaces located in the Broadway Theater District). Set against this dramatic backdrop, DFFLA serves as a beacon for movie fans and industry professionals throughout Southern California and beyond.
