Actor Antonio Jaramillo guest stars on ABC's "Notorious," on Thursday, December 8, 2016 (9 ET/PT), in the episode titled "Taken," making his return to the small screen after his breakthrough performance as Miguel Zepeda, opposite Jennifer Lopez, in the hit NBC series, "Shades of Blue."
Notorious is a series set in a parallel universe where one defense attorney and one cable news producer have the power to shape headlines and control the justice system. Jaramillo's episode "Taken" is a storyline ripped from the headlines when American journalist Julia George (Piper Perabo) and her attorney friend, Jake Gregorian (Daniel Sunjata) are granted an exclusive interview with an infamous Mexican drug lord, Carlos Mora, portrayed by Jaramillo.
When asked how he feels about being cast in the role of a Mexican drug lord, Jaramillo responded, "The challenge is to find appealing qualities in these types of characters and humanize them. I look deeper into the role to find the man's intelligence.
He was also thrilled at the opportunity to work with fellow actor Jose Zuniga, who plays his brother, Raul Mora. "I thoroughly enjoyed working on this job. Everyone from the Piper, Daniel-- entire cast were wonderful. And best of all, I met Jose, an actor I've long admired and since have become great friends with."
