Komal Dadlani, co-founder and CEO of Lab4U, was honored at the recent Women in the World LA Salon as a Toyota "Mother of Invention," which included a $50,000 grant made to her organization presented by Toyota's Lisa McQueen.
Toyota partners with Women in the World to honor and share the stories of enterprising female innovators, creators, designers and trailblazers who are changing our world and inventing a better future.
"As a Latin American scientist in the U.S., it is truly an honor to be recognized for our work at Lab4U. This award by Toyota not only lifts our spirits to continue with our mission but it shows us that we are not alone in the efforts to democratize science education," said Komal Dadlani of Lab4U.
"We might calculate the speed of a Toyota vehicle as miles per hour but life should be calculated as smiles per hour and if we are able to bring smiles and curiosity to those who want to see the world around them we will make a difference in the world."
