Ho-ho-ho, mis amores! La Navidad has snuck up upon us once again, and you still aren't done with that holiday shopping.?
Ave Maria Purisima…
There's tia Chole, el hermano, little Arnulfo, ay Dios mio, how many more others still to go?
Gift giving can be overwhelming; especially when you are almost outta tiempo.
Claro, you could always run to the crowed mall, try to find parking, and grab a handful of them "whatever's left" gift cards from the center kiosk, pero hijole, gente! You did that last year, and the year before. Not so original anymore, ¿que no?
Not saying that gift cards are a bad thing because they can be good, as long as you give to people who will use and appreciate em.
Well how about starting una tradicion nuevecita for this year, and give an educational experience instead?
¿El museo o teatro anyone.
Give something to talk about way after the tamales and pasteles are all gone!
Ay, gente, LA has so many educational venues to see… some gratis and others at a very affordable price. In many cases you can even print out the boletos and confirmation notices from home. Just stuff the boletos in a festive envelope or stocking, and you're done.
Well mis amores, gotta get back to working them hojitas.
