LatinoLA Internships: Do You Have What It Takes?

LatinoLA is offering two (2) Summer 2009 internships to undergraduate or graduate students who would like to work on a website/blog for the Los Angeles Latino community. Interns will be valuable as LatinoLA moves forward on implementing new technological and interactive features.
In addition to gaining valuable experience working in journalism, technology, marketing, and public relations, interns will have an opportunity to develop leadership skills, conduct research and compile various databases, attend meetings, and participate in various events. Applicants must have a strong sense of responsibility and quality work. And they must like to have fun.
Internship Requirements:
- Commitment to work a minimum of 15 hours a week (hours flexible).
- Availability to represent LatinoLA at events.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate students (applicants must have completed one year of college by the start of the internship)
- Student majoring in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Ethnic Studies, or Public Administration preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong writing skills
- A strong, active interest in the Los Angeles Latino community
- Organized and solution-oriented
- Able to multitask in fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of humor!
- Academic credit is available where applicable.
- Must be able to work in a virtual environment
