2009 Mexican-American Dream Scholarships


The Council of Mexican Federations (COFEM), its affiliated Federations, and The New Partnerships Foundation have come together to continue to support students who want to go to college by offering scholarships to both students currently enrolled in an accredited college and those who will be incoming college freshmen next year.

Applications are now available for immigrant students or those who are of immigrant descent seeking equal opportunities to access higher education, have demonstrated a strong academic background, and are involved in their communities. See attached application for more eligibility criteria. Scholarships will be awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. Complete application packages (attached) must be postmarked by Friday, October 16th and sent to:

The Consejo de Federaciones Mexicanas en Norteamérica, or Council of Mexican Federations in North America (COFEM), serves diverse immigrant communities. COFEM's mission embraces a community centered approach to promote the advancement of the Latino community through public policy advocacy, educational and cultural programming, strategic mobilization, community organizing, and bi-national economic development.

Hum. I just want to say that the website posted does not take me anywhere. I would like to apply for the scholarship but cant find the package.
