Let's Talk!, produced by Latin Heat Media welcomes actor/activist Esai Morales as their special guest on the newest daytime talk show which airs this Thursday, June 9, 2011 on KJLA/LATV in Los Angeles at 7:30 AM.
The talk show features four dynamic and opinionated Latinas including Emmy-award winning journalist Naibe Reynoso; Actress-comedienne Dyana Ortelli (Curb Your Enthusiasm); Bel Hernandez, Publisher of Latin Heat, a print and online magazine; and Actress and Y-Generation/Green Gal Kikey Castillo.
A graduate of New York's High School for the Performing Arts, Esai Morales made his film debut in Bad Boys opposite Sean Penn in 1983 and never looked back. Today he stars in the new web-based series drama Los Americans currently seen online at www.losamericans.com. Morales sat with the ladies of Let's Talk! to talk about his critically acclaimed film, Gun Hill Road and shared with them his most important role to date as new dad.
Esai Morales, who also executive produced Gun Hill Road, stars as Enrique who returns home to the Bronx after three years in prison to find the world he knew has changed. His wife, Angela (Judy Reyes), struggles to hide an emotional affair, and his teenage son Michael (introducing newcomer Harmony Santana), explores a sexual transformation well beyond Enrique's grasp and understanding.
Unable to accept his child, Enrique clings to his masculine ideals while Angela attempts to hold the family together by protecting Michael. Still under the watchful eye of his parole officer, Enrique must become the father he needs to be or, once again, risk losing his family and freedom.
With the U.S. Latina consumer market at more than 23 million strong and a spending power of $479 billion dollars (Hispanic ventures 2010), Let's Talk! delivers what no other network television talk show does, the English-speaking Latina perspective in daytime talk.
