Yvette Yates is making her mark in Hollywood in this new comedy written and directed by Gabriela Tagliavini, and based on the international bestseller "Tales From the Town of Widows" by James Canon.
The film is set in a remote Latin American jungle where a group of women are left to fend for themselves after their men leave to fight in a civil war. A battle of the sexes ensues when the men return to reclaim their power.
The theatrical release of "Without Men" will kick off July 29 in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The series, which will run for seven days in each market, will move onto San Antonio and San Diego on August 5, Dallas on August 12 and San Francisco on Sept. 16.
"In our third year of the film series, Maya Entertainment continues to acknowledge and celebrate Latinos in film by presenting this event for American audiences across the country," Maya Entertainment CEO Moctesuma Esparza said. (The Hollywood Reporter)
