MTV Video Music Awards Recognizing Best Latino Artist

Tr3s: MTV, M??sica y M?ís, the bilingual/bicultural entertainment destination for US Latinos, announced the nominees for the second annual "Best Latino Artist" award presented by 5 Gum in honor of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

This year's standout talent nominees for the Tr3s: MTV, M??sica y M?ís "Best Latino Artist" includes Don Omar, Enrique Iglesias, Mana, Prince Royce and Wisin y Yandel. The winner will be announced during the Spanish-subtitled transmission of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Tr3s on September 5th at 7pm (ET).

Viewers can vote through August 19 for their "Best Latino Artist" by visiting vma.tr3s.com online. This recognition was introduced in 2010 and awarded to multi-platinum Latino artist Aventura, who accepted the award on a commercial break during the show's rebroadcast on Tr3s. The VMAs have become a staple award show among Latinos with 4.2 million Hispanic viewers tuning in to the 2010 VMAs LIVE and 1st Repeat ceremony on MTV, and over 1 million Hispanic viewers watching the rebroadcast on Tr3s.

To catch the live US Broadcast of the "2011 MTV Video Music Awards," tune-in to MTV on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT).
