In honor of Mexican Independence Day on September 16, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas presents its first-ever Mexican Independence Day celebration September 15-17, 2011. The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 15 and will feature Mexican star Pedro Fern?índez on Friday, September 16.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is recognizing Mexico's most important national holiday with a two-day long celebration, where guests are invited to be immersed in Mexican culture without ever having to leave Las Vegas' premier entertainment destination. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness the "Grito Mexicano," a cry of patriotism, as it kicks off the festivities, as well as performances by folkloric dancers and traveling Mexican jewelry carts at a Street Fair taking place on P2, set to close the weekend. Also, Mariachis will be performing throughout each day at various hotel locations including the hotel lobby, The Pool District, and the hotel's centerpiece bar, The Chandelier.
Supporting this celebratory tribute to Mexican Independence is famous Mexican recording artist and actor, Pedro Fern?índez. Fern?índez will perform in concert at The Boulevard Pool on the night of Friday, September 16.
